equitable resource allocations
Equitable Resource Allocations
Strategic resource allocations by the state must ensure equitable outcomes for the Latinx community, and other historically under-resourced communities. We must go beyond first come, first served to ensure true access.
Allocations
advocate
Strongly advocate for critical federal relief dollars, and to tap into the $2.4 billion our state has in reserve funds. By being strategic with federal support during this COVID crisis and by making use of the good work we’ve done in saving for a rainy day, we will make it through.
maintain
Maintain, or even increase, strategic investments today in core services for Latinx/a/o and other communities of color. If we fail to do so, it will ultimately cost more as we are forced to respond to compounding needs in the future. In fact, investing in under-served communities nets positive outcomes for all (The Curb-Cut Effect).
partner
Partner with and fund the trusted community-based organizations who serve our communities to advise state leaders and to deliver information and key community services. This also requires the state to make investments in building capacity within these organizations and to maintain long-term partnerships.
